Natalie touches on something I have questions about. My husband jokingly says his style statement is "Redundant repetitive" - (he's actually a Playful something or a something Playful - I haven't figured that out yet). Your style statement should reflect your best self, so presumably it's never negative.

But do people go through the Style Statement process with you and then feel dissatisfied with the results - do they ever have the feeling that you're close but no cigar? Or that they're too complex and changeable to express their essence through just 2 words?

    Enquiring minds want to know.....

Carrie says: "Your essence is your foundation, your stability. Roots are firmly planted and they don't change. Your second word is your creative edge that allows for freedom. It's the part that encourages change and growth. So it's like foundation and twist are like roots and wings. With wings you can fly anywhere (work, design, home, etc. that's a lot of flare.) With roots, you can always land - feeling strong and stable."

It's not about your best self, it's about your whole self. embracing all dimensions of ourselves not negative, just realistic.

I went through the book and answered all of the questions in all of the sections and am now going back through to do the analysis in each area. Then I'll complete the sections where I get to my Style Statement. I'm afraid that I might have trouble in the post-process of boiling it down to my two words, but I keep telling myself to honor my own pace. I keep reminding myself that it took me 34 years to become this Style, that I need to relax and allow my Style Statement to reveal itself to me as it comes. I like that Carrie and Danielle's comments highlight this issue.

Carrie says: "Congratulations on honouring your pace and your self. You're on the right track. Your Style Statement is a revelation and can take time. It takes nine months to create a human being, this work is no less important. Do keep in touch and let us know when you discover your Style Statement. We are energized whenever we hear that another person has found her authentic self. Sending light."
